About
Matthew Oliver is a composer, arranger, engraver and percussionist helping to bring stories to life through music.
Specializing in classical, jazz, and electronic styles, his versatility and experience across genres serves him well in many areas. As an emerging composer, he has written and arranged more than 30 pieces to be performed live by various ensembles and over 110 tracks for short films, soundtracks, solo albums, and more.
As an undergrad, Matthew attends Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he studies composition under Dr. Jeff Kirk and Dr. Mark Volker and studies percussion under Dr. Christopher Norton. While most of his skills are not on the stage, he has also played in multiple ensembles including Belmont University’s Jazz Band I, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Concert Band, and New Music Ensemble as a performer/percussionist.
In addition to writing music, Matthew loves collecting cards, doing cardistry, and playing board games and video games with friends.
